It's my version of the Green Gable tee, knit in Cotton Fleece. Of course I had to finish it when the temps are soaring and I can barely force myself to model it, much less wear it. I'm envisioning this as more of a fall-is-coming, cooler evenings abound type of garment.
Due to the speediness of the photo shoot, you can't really see the complete garment. I knit the size small, worrying all the time that it would be too snug. Instead, I wish it was a little more form-fitting than it is. I added one set of increase rows before removing the stitches for sleeves, since when I tried it on it seemed it might be too tight in the armholes.
Now I think it was just the fact that the yarn holding the stitches was a little tight. Anyway, to compensate, I knit decreases every sixth row all the way to the waistline. If I'd started those decreases directly under the armhole (instead of 4.5 inches down) I think things might be a little more to my liking.
But really, I think it's fine and will be very wearable...a few months from now!

The reality is that before you know it it will be TOO cold to wear it. It's great, by the way.
It may be sweltering outside, but you look pretty cool in your Green Gable. I'd love to make one, but I'd have to upsize the pattern a bit.
Yours is smashing!
Looks awesome, Leslie! It's so freakin' hot out I could scream. My 9 year old had a softball game in the 102 heat yesterday afternoon - and she's the catcher. How she did it w/o complaining I'll never know.
Leslie, it's a very attractive top on you. I'm glad you and your daughter braved this unbearable heat to snap that picture. Very cute!
Very cute! The color looks great with your hair too. Only a few more months of summer. Heh
It suits you very well! Let's hope we all get a break in the weather SOON!!!
Cute, and an awesome color too!
You know, with that kind of ease you might be able to comfortably wear it over a blouse. wouldn't that be nice!
And frankly, not to be catty, but I'm a little jealous that you've got any ease at ALL in a size "small" top. Are you just naturally tiny - tell me know, you diet and exercise vigorously.
Sorry for the grammer problem there, I meant, "Tell me NO, I diet and exercise vigorously." The heat must be frying my brain.
looks really cool. i like the color you picked out....good for fall!
i just finished mine too...same scorching time of year and insisted on wearing it in 102 degrees. that proved to be a bad idea.
