There was fun to be done

Oh, yes, it was fun...when Ann & Kay came to town! The Mason-Dixon bloggers made an appearance at Yarn Shop and More Thursday night, and they were as wonderful in person as I'd imagined.

First they showed us all the lovely handknits that are traveling the country with them.

Then we got down to the business of book signing, chatting and knitting (naturally!). Ann was even persuaded to buy some of the ever-popular Trekking yarn (color #100) and some teeny-tiny Addis to try the socks on two circs technique. Go Ann!

There was also an appearance by a *mystery man* who stopped by to buy a book (for a friend?) and offered a quick neck massage to Kay.

Then he disappeared into the night! Hmmm...what happens in Kansas City, stays in Kansas City.

That whole thing with the dude is bizarre. Her face is priceless! I so wish I could have been there to participate.... we did have a good time at the ad trivia, though!
Thanks for the note about the lyrics/hymn - I thought it seemed familiar beyond that song! Take care.

The look on her face says it all!

You asked about my camera. I have an Olympus Camedia Zoom 5060. I love it, though I'm thinking of trading up for a true digital SLR with 8 megapixels so that I can try to sell some work for commercial applications. Not sure. The one thing I found really frustrating about this camera is that the full owner's manual is a humongo pdf. Like 270 pages. There's a small printed manual to get you started on the basics and fully automated settings. But when you want to learn more, you either need to practice next to your computer or print out the relevant pages to take with you.

It was sure nice to meet you and put a face to the blog! And I agree - that whole massage guy incident was W.E.I.R.D.
