This week brought more challenges. An ice storm Wednesday afternoon and evening, a snowstorm yesterday. It was pretty, and yet, some parts were not.
Here's the pretty stuff.
And the not so pretty.
Yeah, I was rear-ended yesterday, before the snow even began! I was at a stoplight, at a very icy intersection, and the car behind me just couldn't stop in time. Lucily she was insured and my car is still driveable. Later today we'll go for an estimate and then get on the list for repairs. I'll bet we're not the only ones with some damage from yesterday's storm!
On a happier note, I finally got my act together and finished the socks I've been working on for ages. Woo-hoo!
Max wandered in to see why I was photographing my feet.
It *is* a little odd when you think about it! Well, it's the little things that amuse me most, I guess! Now it's time to move on to some new knitting amusement. What will be on the needles next?

What a pain about the car...but love the socks. It's a shame that colourway is so hard to get now. So pretty!!
Sorry about the collision. But at least you have pretty new socks to wear!
I didn't hit anything, but I did get stuck trying to go up a hill and blew out two of my tires. Let's hope the next storm is better on cars!
Yes, we got the ice and snow storm too...
Love the picture of the socks in the foreground and Max looking on quizzically.
The socks turned out great! Love the look on your dog's face and those ears!
Glad you're OK and sorry that your car isn't.
I can't believe that you guys got snow, and we haven't gotten any yet! I am a snow killer... wherever i move, it stops snowing.
The socks look great.. good weather for them!
The colors in those socks are so pretty.
Leslie, I love the socks! Sorry about your car. Gosh, that was a storm, but it sure has cleared up fast.
And a funny thing happened to me on the way to my office Christmas party - read all about it on my blog at www.hangingbyathinthread.blogspot.com.
I can't wait to see what you're knitting next.

At least your feet will be nice and warm even in all that snow. And at least you have snow!
That photo of the snow is beautiful, while the photo of your car? Not so much. I hope you are ok - no neck or back troubles to add to your voice troubles.
Also, that photo of your socks and your doggie might just be one of the cutest things I ever saw. CUTE!
Hi Lesile,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have now listed my pouches on etsy. You can find them here http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=43447
The socks are gorgeous! I love the colors!
What yarn is that that you used on the socks? They are ridiculously cute!
