One for you, one for me

Remember saying that as a kid? Trying to divide things evenly, counting them out, back and forth. Pieces of candy, cookies, whatever.

That's how I'm feeling--at least a bit--about my Christmas shopping. Order a gift for someone, order something for me. Purchase an ornament for a gift exchange, buy one for my tree, too. I'm trying so hard to be good, but sometimes I fail. A couple of weeks ago, I came across this little bag and just had to have it.

Isn't it cute? Even the bottom has an adorable floral print. It's a Shinzi Katoh bag, purchased online from Occupied. I think it's going to be my new favorite small project knitting bag.

As for my other purchases, let's just say there have been *ahem* a few. I'm traveling by bus to Orlando with my son's high school marching band the day after Christmas, so I've deemed a few treats to be *necessary* for my comfort and sanity. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

Kansas to Orlando on a bus? Oh, my sympathies! Is it a band competition, or a trip to one of the amusement parks? My kids' band wisely uses charter buses for all of their competitions and trips, but boy do we pay for it! Band chaperone recommendations: earplugs and a blanket and pillow!

Leslie, you find the CUTEST stuff! And I learned that "one for you? One for me!" rule from a good friend of mine who used that philosophy anytime wedding or birthday gifts were to be bought. I'll admit it: I catch myself buying MORE for me when the intent was to buy for someone else!

Are all these pictures of the same bag? I mean, is it reversible? If so, I am SO getting one! (Hey, what else are Christmas bonuses for, right?)

Sarah, the bag is not reversible but the images on each side, and the bottom, are different. I didn't know that when I ordered it, but it's fun and I love it!

Great bag. I think everyone secretly shops for themselves at Christmas. How can you not? Leslie, I love the socks. I'm ribbing my next pair because of those.
