I know it's "America's favorite pasttime," but watching a very slow baseball game doesn't capture my attention for very long. As long as the snacks don't run out, I'm good. And this time, I brought along another friend.
Yes, it's the Lorna's Laces sock, still on the needles but finally progressing beyond the swatch stage. This is the first time I've taken my knitting to the ballpark, but it probably won't be the last. You can get a lot done during nine innings of baseball. I did forget my camera, though,(strike one!) so you'll just have to imagine the sock and the stadium together.

Perfect place for some knitting! I haven't been to the K in forever. It's so expensive, especially those snacks (which are my fave part) :)
Vicki, we buy the cheap seats ($7) and I pack our lunch plus snacks. It's the only way to make it affordable!
Amanda, I'm using the Simple Sock pattern from the Lucy Neatby book (Cool Socks, Warm Feet) so I'm not sure what the heel really is. The heel flap is knit so the length matches the width, then the turning results in a very short, almost rounded tip. Also, on the purl row you slip every other stitch, which gives it kind of a ribbed effect. We'll see how I like it once the entire sock is done!
Hi Leslie!
You do wonderful work! Can you email me, I have a few questions regarding a few of your patterns. I couldnt find a direct email for you.
Thanks so much! Hope to hear from you soon...

Go Royals! I'm definitely taking my knitting the next time I go to the K - a major league ball game is PERFECT for some major knitting time.
