My newest addition to the collection! This one, knit with Cascade 220, joins the rotation with my previous two bags (lavender/lime and brown/turquoise). I've even drawn my mom into the madness. Last weekend, when they were here for a visit, she cast on--and almost finished!--a version in orange, magenta and lime. I'll try to snag a photo of hers when I visit later this week.
Next, I've promised I'll knit one for a non-knitting friend...so back to the Yarn Shop I'll go for the next color combo. Any suggestions?

I must knit that bag!! It's gorgeous. I'm thinking a nice charcoal gray and black combo for the wintery months and who knows what for this time of year! Something bright and vibrant, perhaps? Your mom's bag sounds lovely! Do snap a photo for us.
Lo e your bags. Do you double the cascade 220? Have you tried Lambs Pride Bulky? Which do you prefer?
Sandy, I knit all of these bags with a double strand of yarn (both the Cascade and Lamb's Pride). I didn't use the bulky Lamb's Pride, though, although I personally am happy with the thickness/stiffness of the resulting fabric. As usual, the Cascade felts more quickly and with less stitch definition than the Lamb's Pride, but I like them both.
Aw, forgot to ask, what size needles do you use with the Cascade 220. It certainly comes in some beautiful colors. I made a Buttonhole bag ( my first bag and felting project) using Lambs Pride Bulky and double yarn on #15 needles. It came out great but I'd like to make more of them. They are great fun.
Sandy, I used size 13 needles on this bag, but I knit very loosely. I've knit many other bags on 11s or even 10.5 needles.
Lynette, I used the worsted weight and doubled it. However, I've done lots of other felting projects with a single strand only. Doubling the yarn does give a nice thick fabric, but I see more stitch definition than when I knit with a single strand only.

I used doubled LP worsted weight on all of mine, run through the washer twice. The first time, it results in a sturdy bag, more the shape of yours, with the second wash resulting in a STURDY bag and a bit different shape. Thanks for your comments. I'll be watching for your next!!

I cast on one of these bags this morning with double strands of Lamb's Pride worsted weight. I'm going to make the bottom purple with yellow and lime green on the sides. This is for my 12 year old daughter and she loves those colors. Your blog is great, I love reading it!

Orange and hot pink! I made a Meema tote in those colors (I used peace fleece though, double-stranded) and it came out so pretty and springy!
