The past month has been full of unexpected ups and downs, taking my family down a path we hadn't planned to travel. We are all fine and things are getting back to a normal rhythm, but I've needed the quiet space and my creative juices have not been flowing.
Now I'm ready for a creative kick-start, and I'm challenging myself to pick up my camera again and to get back in the game. I'm pondering a new project of some kind but I'm not sure what that might be. How do you get back your creative mojo after it's been gone a while? I'd love to hear your ideas and thoughts.

maybe a mini photo a day challenge? i know a few people who have done this one: http://whitepeachphoto.com/2011/05/25/photography_challenge/
one word: film.
I guess I just do it. Sounds lame but it works for me. Push yourself if you have to but just start. Sorry you've had troubles.
i love to just get out and walk me and my camera and nothing else. even when i am in the worst funk i find eventually the photos just come...
or i agree with a small challenge. nothing too long or too rigid. a 5 or 7 day thing. one that always gets me going is a color week. pick a color each day and shoot for that color. you will be amazed what you find when you really look.
welcome back. xo
hello ;)
a photo a day challenge is such a great idea. I think American artist Lisa Congdon did something very similar where she photographed collections of things - rubber erasers, plastic ends from loaves of bread; old spoons,etc,etc....it was so interesting. When I find I'm in need of inspiration I always head to my favourite shop, I walk in and just let it all wash over me....I always walk out refreshed and ready for action! maria
