Here and there

Classic

B for Bloom (Bakery)

Fresh

A visit to City Market with a good friend last weekend was just what I needed: a mini escape from the 'burbs and the chance to see and taste some different delights. I love the diversity of people, the sounds and smells, the array of fruits, veggies, spices, and fresh-baked goods. Sometimes a 30 minute drive is all you need to feel as if you're in a different city.

I also love that spring seems to have finally arrived. With the warmer weather, I am:

*planting violas
*watching the bunnies frolic in our back yard
*trying new recipes (this one was fabulous!)
*buying herbs to grow for summer meals
*opening windows (despite allergies)
*sipping Vietnamese iced coffee
*making a batch of hard-boiled eggs for snacking

How are you welcoming spring this year?

Sounds like you are making the most of spring. I'm hoping to spin on the deck this afternoon - for the first time this year!

Here in western Colorado we're getting ready for gardens and we can still go half an hour away from home and cross country ski in 5 feet of snow!
