The local peaches are ripe for the picking, and boy, are they amazing! As usual, my eyes were bigger than my pocketbook, and I ended up spending quite a bundle for a little less than a bushel. Somehow, though, it seems O.K. to splurge on something so healthy and delicious, especially in peak season. And have you ever seen a peach the size of a grapefruit? Reminds me of this story. Entirely enchanting!

Gorgeous pictures. Perfectly summer.
Loved your pictures on Flickr! How wonderful to have them so fresh! Can't wait to see what you make with them! Happy summer!
Hello there!
I have just found your blog through some random blog browsing, and how beautiful it is - your photographs are a real gift, those peaches are making my mouth water - summer seems to have eluded us here in the north of England so your pictures are a tonic on a dreary day!
Nice to find you!
Sending love

Have you ever seen something too pretty to eat? I rarely touch peaches because of how nice they look. It's when they are about to go bad and they are not perfect anymore I 'save' them from a horrible death and cook with them. Silly right? Great shots.
Seriously, would you consider selling prints of your photos? And if you would I'd like to place my order.....
I love James and the Giant Peach, one of my all time fav books!
