Kaffe Fasset is in the house

I normally don't buy lots of yarn for the stash, but when it comes to sock yarn, that "rule" goes out the window. When I was ordering yarn here for my Mom's socks, I came across this Regia yarn designed by Kaffe Fassett. I had to have it! Lovely blues and greens, perfect for pairing with my favorite blue jeans.

Then, about a week ago, cruising around innocently on flickr, I spied socks made with this Opal Hundertwasser yarn. It took me just a couple of minutes to find it online and to purchase a ball for myself.

Evidently this yarn can be knit with traditional horizontal stripes or with vertical ones. Not sure how, but the photos show it can be done. Neat! Now I need to get my fingers flying on those gift socks so I can move on to one of these beauties.

You find the neatest yarn and projects. You have truly classy taste.

Are you going to Stitches Midwest go any chance? I'll be there.

The vertical stripes could be made with Nona's Sidewinders pattern.Link below:)
