A summer day in the garden...

And everything's abuzz! The bees are thoroughly enjoying the several varieties of lavender now in bloom. The lavender is so fragrant...definitely my favorite plant in the garden! The daisies are past their prime, so they got a good chopping this morning. The antique rose is back in bloom, and the coneflower are just about to burst open. I'm thinking about getting a few more annuals to fill in some holes...everything around here is 50 percent off now, so it's a good time to buy. Or am I too lazy to actually plant anything if I buy it? Hmm...

And what garden would be complete without a cute doggie to stand guard? You're in charge, Max!
