I was lucky enough to be part of an Oasis experience a few weeks ago. And it included all of the above, plus much more. It's incredibly hard to describe five days of escape from the everyday world into one where your main task is to play. Reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, testing the creative waters, spending time in a new environment--it's definitely an energizing experience.
The Mid-century modern ACE Hotel in Palm Springs provided the perfect backdrop for this getaway. Its many charms provided countless photo opportunities; it's likely the most photographed hotel in the area with 80+ photographers having documented its every nook and cranny!
The daily adventures included playing underwater with our iPhones (safely enclosed in Lifeproof cases), learning about Polaroid cameras and the groundbreaking Impossible Project film, and getting comfortable in our own skin through self-portrait practice. We rode a tram to the top of a mountain and hiked through the amazing forest there; explored the colorful sights of Palm Springs; and just had fun in our creative work space provided by HP.
