Crunch time

Just hanging around

Spring porch

The finishing touch
We enjoyed a lovely Easter, and now we're coming into the home stretch of the school year, with graduation just four short weeks away. Announcements are in the mail, the open house invitation will go out later this week...but there is still much to do! I feel I've abandoned all my online contacts recently but it's crunch time and I have to stay focused on the to-do list. It's exciting and a little sad, too, as I think of all the big changes looming ahead. Soon the days will slow down, and I'm looking forward to the chance to try some new things: * This summertime salad looks delicious. *I'd like to try my hand at making some of these bracelets *This "scrap" book would be a fun way to work with color P.S. Our graduation open house is going to feature a dessert buffet of sorts. Any good recipes or links you'd like to share?

This is just what I was doing a year ago and now Hannah is just about done with her first year of college. Hard to believe! My mom had a dessert buffet for my baby shower all those years ago and it was wonderful. I can still see it and everyone raved about it. Great idea for the graduation open house!

Oh that strawberry tart does look yummy! Reminds me I need a dessert show-tray, or whatever they call that. :)

I helped a girlfriend with her wedding food a year ago....we worked on the menu together: delicious food that looked good, was easy to make and kept well....the rhubarb and current tarts and the flourless choc cakes were a hit....you can view the recipes here at my blog. http://quincejam.blogspot.com/2010/05/fabulous-food-for-afternoon-tea-wedding.html LOVE your blog! Goodluck....maria xx
