Then the cruelty of winter returned full force. Rain, sleet, snow--the works.
Luckily my trees suffered no damage, and I had harvested most of my daffodils before the storm hit. My next-door neighbors weren't so fortunate--they lost their Bradford pear when the ice was just too much for the fully-bloomed tree. So sad.
Yesterday the sun came out and the snow beat a hasty retreat. Only a few traces linger today.
Time to pot these beauties and say goodbye to winter once and for all!

That's the good thing about snow and ice this time of year - it goes away fast.
Oh that picture of the daffodil felled by snow is so sad. :( Hooray for the real spring though!
Ugh! Today I was sledding and wearing snowboarding pants...today, flip flops and short sleeves! Crazy Kansas weather! ;-S
Beautiful spring...winter...spring photos! :)
We're expecting 10 inches of snow today in central MN. I can't wait for spring.
Those late winter storms make me think winter has a wicked and jealous personality at times. Vain indeed. Who wouldn't be with all those gorgeous blooms! Beautiful pictures!
I loourve these spring pics. And yes the snow just doesnt seem to want to go away. We had snow on Saturday, beautiful 60 degree sun on Sunday. It's crazy.
Those flowers azre so pretty! Inspires me to get out in the garden~~~
Ugh! And good riddance!! Though I'm afraid I'll have to suffer a few more flakes first. I'm longing for a 50-degree day!
It's insane isn't it? This weather right now. Oh but your pictures more than make up for this craziness!
