Meanwhile, this arrived in the mail from Knit Picks and is just begging to be knit.
It's a cotton/modal blend called "Shine." It does have a lovely sheen to it, and comes in so many great colors! My plan is to make a log cabin baby blanket, similar to the one on showcased on Mason-Dixon Knitting. (Scroll down to see the blanket.)
Isn't that fun? I love the graphic quality of this design. I'm hoping to follow the same schematic, with cool colors on one side, warm colors on the other side of the blanket. I'm pretty sure this one is much larger than baby blanket size, but hopefully it will work in miniature as well. I just need to swatch the yarn to decide what needle size will give me the best look, then I'll be ready to go. More baby knitting, here I come!

I love those colors, so happy! I hate to admit I'm still a Knitpicks virgin, but there stuff looks so nice. I actually don't often order yarn online, it takes away the fun of shopping in person. The log cabin blanket is perfect for that yarn too :)
Shopping is almost more fun than knitting but I'm also trying to knit as fast as I can! LOL
Wow, I love Knitpicks colours--I think this will look great in the log cabin pattern!
mmmmm, pretty colors!
those colours remind me so much of the ones I used in the scarf I've just finished. They are lovely and can't wait to see the finished item
Hi Leslie,
Thanks for your nice comment about my ideal wardrobe. Marilyn's kitchen is just amazing - I want to take it home with me every time.
What a lovely palette of colors. That will make a great blanket.
